Density jump for oblique collisionless shocks in pair plasmas: allowed solutions

Shock waves in plasma are usually dealt with using magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). Yet, MHD entails the assumption of a short mean free path, which is not fulfilled collisionless plasma. Recently, for pair plasmas, we devised model allowing one to account kinetic effects within MHD-like formalism. Its relies on an estimate anisotropy generated when crossing front, subsequent assessment stability this downstream. We solved our parallel, perpendicular and switch-on shocks. Here bridge between all these cases by treating problem arbitrarily, but coplanar, oriented magnetic field. Even though formalism presented valid anisotropic upstream temperatures, only case cold solved. find extra solutions part catalogue, density jump that notably less quasi-parallel, highly magnetized, regime. Given complexity calculations, work mainly devoted presentation mathematical aspect model. A forthcoming article will be physics shocks here defined.
